None Have Been Immune From Failure

It is human nature to want to be successful. However, the reality is that no one can escape at least one failure in their life. There are simply going to be times when you do not get to win the game. You do not get to win the race. You are not always going to be the smartest person in the room. Someone is always going to sing better than us. Someone is going to write better than us. Someone is going to just plain be better than us.

It’s okay.

We learn this in the course of our life whether we like it or not. However, knowing that we will experience failures in life is not an excuse to not try. It is not an excuse to just quit. It is not an excuse to doubt our talents and abilities. We may never truly be the ‘best’ at a particular profession or skill set, but that does not mean that failure gets to win. Self-doubt doesn’t get to win either. Self-doubt tries to dampen our spirit and true potential. We may not be the best at everything, but none of us are failures.

Furthermore, none of us are going to get out of this thing called life in perfect health and appearance. None of us gets to stay our youthful version of ourselves forever. None of us gets to be a child forever. We age. We change. We live. We experience. We get wrinkles and scars. We get marks in the body. We get marks on the heart. We persevere. We may struggle but we persevere.

None doesn’t have to be a bad word. None can mean that we learn to accept certain parts of life and let go of the other stuff that tries to ruin the quality of our life. “None” can empower us if we just let it.
